BET Cyphers

First off, shout out to @LadyBirdSF. Last night, I stopped by the Excelsior Teen Center to pick up some donation envelopes for myself and BarNone. I'm telling you this, they are doing something great for the community. Spending time there confirmed that we really have nothing to complain about. Every Wednesday, they are giving food to the people. Leah (@LadyBirdSF) stated that it was the first time where all of the teens that goes to ETC helped out! My point is: here we are everyday complaining about traffic when we go to work. Complaining about paying rent or mortgage. Complaing about not having cable. There are people out there that wish they had our so-called problems. There are people that don't even have a TV or a roof over there head. There are people that don't even have jobs! Yet, we complain and complain. C'mon..WAKE UP! Next time you say "I'm having a bad day" or "My life sucks" ask yourself this question: "Compared to what".

Ok, moving a long. After they gave the food out, Leah, myself and teens sat infront of the computer watching the BET awards 2009 Cypher. These videos are DOPE!

www.WeEating.com

All you food connoisseurs, grub a lot lifestyle, or if you just plain love food go check out www.WeEating.com "The First Urban Food Show". Seriously, this show is sick. They take you to different spots out here and show you the get down of each restaurant. How I got introduced to the We Eating Family: BarNone was at the studio one day and he asked if @GUS415 1/2 of the We Eating Fam (Gus) could stop by. From that point it was good. BarNone has a way of bringing good folx together so mos def shout out to BarNone! Gus also brought the other face of We Eating to the studio SBC DJ Big Jon. Both are good peeps! Back to the show, once again, it's a dope show and the concept is crazy. There's really no one out here doing what they are doing. I give these guys a lot of props due to their vision and their hustle! I'm going to post their 6th Episode on here because this spot is the shit! It's an Ice Cream spot called Mitchell's Ice Cream. If you don't know the spot and your in the Bay Area, step your GAME WAY UP! If you're not from the Bay, definitely go check them out. Also, you will see Box Kev & Nina Parks (@LadyBirdSF & www.LadyBirdSF.com).

Warriors World TV

I was very fortunate to be approached by Rasheed from Warriors World TV on twitter to brew up a beat for their online TV show. He had asked me to create an uptempo beat that would end up being the intro for show. Immediately I got to work. The next day, BarNone who I've been working with for years texted me and asked me if Rashad hit me up. Well, come to find out, BarNone was going to be the artist rapping on the beat that I created! What had happened was, Rasheed asked Gus from www.WeEating.com who made the intro to their show and BarNone was the artist rapping but the beat was made by K-RO who I collab w/ a lot on beats. I made the beat, sent it to Rashad and he Ok'd it. Sent it BarNone, a couple of days later the track was made. Sent it back to Rashad, he asked to make a couple of changes and submitted it again...

Today, I received a tweet from @warriorsworld with a link and it said "check the intro". I peep'd the video and it was Warriors World TV interviewing Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors...the intro was the beat that I did with BarNone droppin bars on it! A BIG SHOUT OUT TO RASHEED FROM WARRIORS WORLD TV! PEEP THE VIDEO!!

BarNone's "Da Gig" Music Video

Check out my bruh BarNone's "Da Gig" Music Video! Basically, he's one of the first artists I've recorded when I decided to take producing seriously. Trust, he's not an artist anyone should sleep on. Also, cop his debut album on iTunes "Never Turn Back". Currently, he's gathering productions for his sophomore album which I definitely landed slots on! This album is going to be FIYAH! Look out for the homie BarNone!!!

My Project Studio

Here's the most recent picture of my the Project studio I have. Don't get it twisted, the equipment that I have including the Waves Mercury Mixing Program produces high quality sounds. From the Microphone to the Focusrite pre-amp, the recordings are crisp. As I continue to upgrade and add to the studio, I will post a blog. Email me tjdaproducer@gmail.com for production prices or for studio time cost!

Shout out to Global and Money County

As I said, this blog is going to be used to document my adventure. Last Friday, October 16th, my folx K-RO and I shot over to Money County (Marin County) to meet up w/ Global and Dro Beatz. After getting lost for a bit due to me not reading the directions right, we arrived at his studio. It's a dope studio with a sound booth that they constructed themselves. What hit me right away was a SUPA SLAP they were playing. Global gasses on beats!! Dro Beatz got some supa productions! I also learned a lot about the history of Marin. After meeting some more folx, Dro, K-RO and I got down to it. 1st slap was on a West Coast/Dre tip. I created the piano rifts and added some strings and Dro murked it w/ the drums. DONE! Second beat was on a smooth/club tip. Synths, chord arrangements and a catchy but simple tune. Also, it was first time using the type of program they had and I'm telling you this, I'm gonig to get that same exact program and it's going to take my productions to the next level......but this will be on a different post. When all was said and done, we made supa slaps...and it's just the beginning. First time linking up with Dro Beatz and we already started making some fiyah! Shout out to Global, Dro Beatz, The Kamp, and the rest of their squad!!! (Then we got lost for about 30 minutes going back home!

Keep'n it 100 Tip #1 by Gary Archer

Keep'n it 100 TV (100 TV) is an online show that will capture the true grind of artists, producers, dj's, etc. to show the world what it really takes to either keep the lifestyle they have or to achieve the lifestyle they want. 100 TV along with the show's host, Jing, was invited to Nump's listening party for his current album "Student Ov Da Game"(COP YOURSELF 4 COPIES). That place was crackin especially when Bay Area Legend E-40 showed up. Jing (@str8K_A_H), was extremly busy getting shout outs and interviews w/ a lot of artists....one of them being Gary Archer, Mistah Fab's manager. (@LEGENDGARY). No editing needed, Gary puts everything on the line with his understanding of Keep'n it 100. Follow the show --> @KEEPNIT100TV. www.Keepnit100TV.com coming soon!

Neko (Mysto & Pizzi)

I've been having my eyes set on the Neko. The quality of the sounds on this piece of machine is INSANE! The Motif to me, still has one of the best live piano sounds. If you look close to what type of the keyboard the keybaordist is using during live band plays on BET Awards, MTV Awards, it's most likely going to be a Motif. On the production side, the Neko is the best hands to me...to me. Here's a vid of two sick producers (Mysto & Pizzi) using the Neko. Btw, these guys can make some serious heat!!

BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!

I haven't had time to post anything new since the last blog. Basically, there's a lot that's been going on in the last couple of months. I have been blessed with new and exciting projects. Met a lot of good people outside of the Bay Area specifically in Vegas (Shouts to J.Myth and his camp), and the East Coast (Shouts out to Vinny Vegas and his entire camp). But I've also met some good folx in my own soil (Shouts to Young Global and his camp from $$$ County). When people believe in the music that you create, it creates more hunger. Believe this - I am more humbled but hungrier then ever. Also, I saw the sample music video for "Start My Day Off" w/ Tay Assassin and Boo Banger that I produced and it's looking sick!!! Can't wait for the final product.

Making music is the foundation, everything else just adds to the building...and I'm not done building and adding to the foundation. Shouts to all the folx that has been there from the gate. You know who you are!!! Just trying to bring something to the Potluck...which will then be a buffet...MORE BLOGGING SOON!!!!!!
